Orange Beach, AL OSS Offshore Race

If any of you are planning on visiting the Gulf Coast this weekend plan a trip to Orange Beach, AL for Thunder on the Gulf www.thunderonthegulf.com. Also come see the Time Bandit Racing team.

The Time Bandit Offshore Race Team  (TBOR) featuring  national champion driver Bob Mazikowski and 2008 national champion throttleman Jeff Germ filling in for Travis Lofland will be bringing the boat and crew into one of our favorite race sites, Orange Beach, AL. (OB) on Wednesday, October 5 for a weekend of fun and serious racing. The Thunder on The Gulf's event is one of America's premier venues and all the crews are looking forward to seeing our friends and putting on a spectacular show for the fans and boosting the economic impact of the OB and Gulf Shores communities. The race team will be taking the boat and crew to support the local firefighters for the second year.  Sam Jackson is coordinating with the OB Fire Rescue Station One, which is part of the Lower Alabama Chapter Guardians of the Ribbon to bring the team in October 6 to promote and give these incredible fighters a chance to see offshore racers in their pink shirts propelling the cause. Saturday, our team will be hosting an OB family as crew members on the fight against cancer. Come join the rock stars of Offshore and meet the team as they race on Friday, test on Saturday and win the Offshore Powerboat Association's (OPA)
World Championship event.

The Island House Hotel is the host sponsor for The Time Bandit team and General Manager Barbara Walters can't wait to showcase her incredible property with a cookout Saturday and V.I.P. areas on the beach to watch the action. Please check out ( www.islandhousehotel.com ) and get a great rate and balcony view.

Mazikowski said, " We wish our 'Deadliest Deckhand' Travis Lofland the best while he is King Crab fishing in Alaska with our sponsors, Captains Jonathan and Andy Hillstrand on the Fishing Vessel Time Bandit. The fishing vessel will be rigging up this week and filming begins soon for another exciting season. I look forward to seeing all our fans at Race Village and supporting the community. We are dedicating our race to The Guardians of The Ribbon."

Race Producer Marty Magrievy and OPA Media Director Ron Polli can't wait for the Time Bandit Offshore Race Team to power in and be a part of an exciting event along the beautiful beaches. Polli announced that Versus TV will once again cover the races to be nationally aired in November, and that Sunny 105 will be covering the races live.
